Yuuichi Itou
He is a member of the board of directors of the Japan Animation Association, a member of the ASIFA-JAPAN, a member of TV program deliberation committee of Television KANAGAWA, Professor in the department of animation at Tokyo National University of Arts graduate school and guest professor at Osaka University of Arts.
Yuichi Ito was born in Tokyo in 1962 and graduated from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, General Design Course. After working with the visual effects studio Shirogumi, and in computer graphics production, in 1998 he launched the animation studio I.TOON Ltd. and currently serves as its president. For his animations, he uses various techniques focusing on clay animation and directs TV animation programs, commercials, and music videos. Ito is one of the top animation directors in Japan and an authority in puppet animation.
His outstanding work comprehends "KNYACKI!" (NHK educational television), "NORABBITS' MINUTES" (SHOCHIKU Co., Ltd.), "You are my friend"(Ken HIRAI music video), CM "PON DE LION" series (Mister Donuts ), etc.
