Yantong Zhu was born in Nanjing China. She got her Master’s Degree in Film from Tokyo University of the Arts in 2014. Her graduation film My Milk Cup Cow has won 24 prizes around the world, such as Grand Prix of KROK, Grand Prix of PISAF, Young Animation Award of Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film, Special Golden Jabberwocky Prize of International Film Festival Etiuda & Anima, New Face Award of Japan Media Arts Festival.
She also has been invited as one of the Jury members of BIAF and Tricky Women. In 2018, she worked as a curator for the 7th China Independent Animation Film Forum.
And as a children’s book author, her first picture book “Wupeng Boat and the Grandpa’s Glasses” was published Fukuinkan Shoten Publishers, Inc. in 2019.
