Shizuya Wazarai

Originally majoring in industrial design, he decided to pick the career of a manga artist before graduating. While the three barely interacted during their school years, him, Kouji Mori and Kentaro Miura were classmates and would eventually become friends, with Miura hiring him as an assistant. He'd work alongside him for five years before going independent and making his manga debut with Blaster Knuckle in 1992. A few years later, in 1997, his most notable work - the Cestvs series - began, enjoying a successful serialization of over 20 years.

He suffers from retinal tears, which are often the cause of his hiatuses.
