Rei Harakami

Harakami studied film and initially wanted to pursue a career writing scores; however, a demo tape of his electronic material sent to the Sublime label garnered him the opportunity to remix Ken Ishii and, later, to appear on the Volume label’s Trance-Pacific Express compilation.

Rei Harakami released his debut EP, titled Rei Harakami EP, in 1997. His first studio album, Unrest, was released in 1998. It was followed by Opa*q (1999), Red Curb (2001), and Lust (2005).
