Pinku Aomata is the pen name for a Japanese manga artist, primarily focusing on shoujo manga. Her debut was in 1988 with shounen Ninja Kumari, in the Newtype supplement Comic Genki published by Kadokawa Shoten. She became best known however for two long running manga versions of Kyokutei Bakin's epic 19th century novel Nansou Satomi Hakkenden. The first, titled just Hakkenden, is a straight adaptation; the second, Blind Game, is a retelling set in the near future.
