Masaki Okuda
Date of Birth: 1985 Place of Birth: Yokohama, Japan
He graduated from the Department of Graphic Design at Tama Art University in 2009, and the Department of Animation, Film and New Media at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2011. He started to make animated films at Tama Art University. His film A Gum Boy has won New Talent at Fantoche and Best Short Film of Animation Schools at Animadrid, and has been nominated at Berlinale.
After staying in Montreal, Canada as a trainee of the Program of Overseas Study for Upcoming Artists, he has been working as a freelance animator and illustrator. He has made title animations for live action films, animation for educational TV program, CG for TV programs, cover illustration for books, and designs for CDs and DVDs.
