Formerly affiliated with Kyoto Animation and Ordet. He was one of the people to follow Yutaka Yamamoto to Ordet after its establishment. After leaving Kyoto Animation he primarily used the pen name Gorou Sessha and became well known for his work in the Naruto franchise. His directorial debut was Naruto: Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals which he directed from episode 27 onwards under the supervision of Masahiko Murata.
