Hideo Yamamoto

Hideo Yamamoto is a Japanese manga artist and debuted in 1989. He is best known as the creator of the manga series Ichi the Killer, which was adapted into a live-action film by Takashi Miike in 2001, and Homunculus. Recurring themes in his manga are crime, sexual deviations, and the human mind.

He worked as an assistant for Kenshi Hirokane and Ikuko Kujirai. Yuuichi Itakura was his one of his assistants.
