Introduction: Chiai Fujikawa is a Japanese vocalist and lyricist under record label Nippon Columbia (2018-). Before going solo she was a lead singer in the idol group Maneki Kecak, between July of 2015 until her departure from the group in September of 2018. She has additionally performed at the Nippon Budokan, which took place on September 24 of 2018.
Activities as a solo artist began after debuting at "TOKYO CULTURE CULTURE", where she held an Acoustic Live event on November 25 of 2018, this was followed-up with her first album release on May of 2019, titled "Raika".
Biography: After graduating high school, Chiai aimed to become a singer while working at a factory. She mentions how she wanted to write her own lyrics whenever she became an artist, so she had been writing poems in her notebooks since she was a student. Whenever she came up with a word, sentence, or anything that could be used in a song, she would write it in a notepad she kept on her phone.
