When Azusa was in eighth grade, she was inspired to become a voice actress after hearing Akiko Yajima's performance as Kohaku in Inuyasha. She participated in Horipro's 36th Talent Scout Caravan on October 11, 2011, winning the event, and made her debut as a voice actress in 2012, voicing a character in a commercial for SSK Foods.

Azusa's hobbies include watching foreign dramas, karaoke, impersonating, making albums, cooking and sewing. Her special skills include tennis (which she has been playing since fifth grade), arm wrestling, making soft serve ice cream, and calligraphy. She enjoys staying healthy. Azusa was also a member of the tennis club in both middle and high school, and she was also the general manager of the club in high school.

She also loves both cows and movies, and has said that her ideal date would be either tennis or a movie so that she wouldn’t have to talk a lot. Azusa has four older brothers, and she went to the same high school as Megumi Nakajima
