This wakizashi was (some say) made by Horikawa Kunihiro, a swordsmith active during the Azuchi-Momoyama period. It is said to have been a favorite of Shinsengumi vice-commander Hijikata Toshizo.
He is also the partner and assistant of Izuminokami Kanesada. He is polite and caring, but harbors a burning fighting spirit deep in his heart.
