Smith is a filmmaker and music video director affiliated with emma.

After graduating Musashino Art University, he studied under Tetsuro Takeuchi, a pioneer of music videos, at Takeuchi Entertainment Planning, and has been directing since 2000. He specializes in passionate upper tunes, but also receive some support for his tranquil and strange direction. Currently, he is engaged in genre-less directing activities with a focus on dramas.
