Shiki is the lead vocalist of his high school's music club that later forms into a five-men idol band. He is a very energetic boy who loves to sing and loves his high school buddies, so rather than going their separate ways after graduation, Shiki intends to mastermind their debut as an idol unit. He also tends to add "honkii" or "mega" to any descriptor he uses, and ends all of his sentences with す（ssu).

He refers the Producer as "Producer-chan" and his buddies by their given name in katakana plus "cchi", though he also refers Hayato Akiyama as "Hayato Senpai". He's not the best at academics, so he studies with his buddies a few days before exams.

In the anime, it's revealed that Shiki thinks that he isn't good at anything except singing, and in middle school, he would spend all of his free time at karaoke. However upon meeting HighxJoker at his first year entrance ceremony in high school, and seeing them perform, he became inspired to do something with his youth and begged Hayato to let him join the band.

Shiki is a fan of spicy food and candy, and is always seen with mascot character Kumacchi, either on his clothes, phone, or as a plush.
